Custom Music for Video with Alternate Edits
Custom music for video on Audiosocket means original tracks from independent artists, several offered in alternate versions: instrumental mixes, short edits and stripped-down arrangements, so an editor can tailor the score to the cut. The palette leans post rock and cinematic folk over percussion, electronic textures, keyboards and world instruments, mostly instrumental and mostly upbeat. Hey Baby by Salme Dahlstrom pairs with Hey Baby (Instrumental), one option for brand films, documentaries and trailers.

About this Playlist
It is a curated collection of finished original tracks from independent artists, not a commissioned score. The tracks were grouped because they give an editor the raw material to build a custom-feeling soundtrack: several appear in more than one version, including instrumental mixes, short edits and arrangements with a lead element removed, so the music can be shaped to picture instead of the picture being cut to a fixed song.
Hey Baby by Salme Dahlstrom is paired with Hey Baby (Instrumental), Emperor (No Synth Riff) by the known sea is a version without its synth riff, and Baby Brother (Short Edit) by EHSR is trimmed for shorter cuts. Those three patterns, a vocal-free mix, a stripped arrangement and a short edit, are the practical tools for fitting a track to dialogue, to a brand line or to a 30-second spot.
Mostly. Around two thirds of the tracks are instrumental, including Luminescent and Sky Blue Shimmer by The Atlas Line, Northern Lights by the known sea and Gold Whips and My People by EHSR. Vocal tracks such as Kalsin and Arcada by Vestevent and Light Of The Morning by Terrains are in the minority, and where a vocal exists an instrumental counterpart is sometimes provided, as with Hey Baby. Vocal fx also appear as a texture on a good share of the set.
Post rock and cinematic folk lead, with a trailer, trip hop and underground hip hop side. The references logged for the set include Sigur Ros, Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You, which points to layered electric guitars, keyboards and percussion, with world instruments, acoustics and mallets adding texture. The moods are happy, exciting and inspiring more than dark, so it suits documentary, brand and landscape footage rather than thrillers. Tracks average about two minutes forty seconds.
The license on a tailored track does not expire. Every license issued through Audiosocket is perpetual for the specific finished work it was licensed for, so a film scored with an edited or alternate version keeps its clearance permanently, regardless of whether the subscription continues. The subscription itself, billed monthly or annually, gives unlimited licensing during its term, and an Indie Film tier is among the license options alongside Individual, Small Business and Large Business.
