Building Music: Rising Post-Rock and Cinematic Cues

Audiosocket's Building collection is building music - post-rock, cinematic and trailer cues chosen for how they build toward a peak - cleared for commercial use in brand films, landscape sequences, slow-motion edits and reveal moments. Percussion, electronic layers and electric guitars carry the rise, with keyboards, strings, mallets and brass widening the final stretch. Nearly every track is instrumental, so the swell can sit under narration or take over a wordless timelapse.

About this Playlist

Building music is a track that starts sparse and steadily adds layers and intensity until it peaks, the arrangement shape editors want under a reveal, a countdown or a slow-motion climax. It is not music about construction, though it is often used on construction and architecture timelapses. This collection is made of post-rock, cinematic and trailer cues selected for that rising shape, with Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You as the closest reference points.
Nearly all of them. About nine in ten are instrumental, and several are instrumental versions of songs, including Head Games (Instrumental) by Grow and Twine and We Knew Her At Once (Instrumental) by Twiceyoung, so the build is never interrupted by a lyric. The one vocal exception is We Played Out On This Movie Screen by Sleevenotes; the same band's This is How I Self-Destruct is instrumental if you want that sound without vocals.
This collection works as construction video music and for timelapses; that is one of its main jobs. The tracks are tagged for building, landscape, slow motion and documentary use, and a rising cue mirrors the way a structure or skyline fills the frame over a compressed shoot. Percussion, electronic layers and electric guitars carry the climb, with strings, mallets and brass widening the peak. Tracks average just over three minutes, so time the reveal to the peak and trim the intro rather than the ending.
Building is the narrower, steeper shelf. Both are post-rock heavy and both lean inspiring and happy, but Brand Stories spreads across indie rock, pop rock, 80s new wave and news-promo cues built to hold an even lift across a whole brand film. Building keeps only tracks tagged for the build itself, with trailer music as its second-largest sub-genre and dramatic moods more prominent, so choose it when the edit has a single moment that everything ramps toward.
A license issued today does not expire with your subscription. Each license you issue is perpetual for the specific finished work it was issued for, so a reveal video or timelapse you publish today stays cleared after your subscription ends. The subscription, billed monthly or annually, is what grants unlimited new licensing during the term. Every track is cleared for commercial use under the plan purchased, including monetized YouTube, client work, ads and social.
